I got my new Vertical today, and now I want to give my S9PP to my wife. Is it necessary to make a reset? Or is it possible only to change the settings like sex, age, weight, HR… what do you mean?

what do you mean by what do you mean?

Of course is works with only setting changes.

But a factory reset makes the watch running faster.

@zhang965 Thanks! Perhaps it would be better to ask ‚what would you do?‘

I personally would do a factory reset, just so that when she starts using it she isn’t going off any of your metrics or training data that might still be stored. Just my 2c

@SuperFlo75 The watch definitely creates baseline from you for HRV-based Resources as well as VO2 Max. And you probably don’t want your wife’s watch connecting to your footpod or heart rate sensor?

It seems that a factory reset might be a faster deal than trying to selectively update stuff pertaining to you. And not all of it can actually be user-updated.

                  Factory reset is better.

I did a factory reset, when I gave the 9p to my wife. I would not just change settings.
