9 Peak Pro compared to Polar Pacer Pro or Vantage V2
-
Hello, I am considering buying a 9 Peak Pro and am wondering how it compares to Polar Pacer Pro or Vantage V2 or Garmin 935,945,955. I mostly use Polar and have a Garmin 935 I mix in. If anyone can give me comparisons, pro cons… I would really appreciate it. Also how is the screen brightness compared to the Polars? I run, surf, hiit, weighted jump ropes and a lot of weight training. Thanks any any invite would be appreciated.

@surfratt I used Polar for a long time but use Suunto and Garmin now. Why you’d move across from the Pacer etc I’m not sure. Polar has outstanding products and health metrics too. The Vantage V, Grit X etc are awesome.
You’ll most likely find Suunto products a little dull in the screen because of their sapphire glass. However I’ve had a Suunto 9 Baro for awhile now and it’s built like it would survive a nuclear strike. Ill never sell it. Also have a Suunto 7 smartwatch which you can pick up cheap now they’re not in production anymore, and nothing compares to the screen - its beautiful. Only trade off if the battery life which is just abit more than an Apple watch.

@surfratt I think compared to the Peak Pro the screen of the Vantage V2 is quite similar but screen brightness is not the best in class with Suunto Watches. Where Suunto shines is creating routes and transfer them onto your watch in a breeze. Polar is nowhere near this. You might miss the Webinterface, but I find the Suunto App extremely nice and polished and Suunto has (and still does) put a lot of effort in it, like the new Coach feature. And - compared to Polar - your training screens can have way more data fields and information.
