Suunto Coach

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos of course . I didn’t mean, that Suunto Coach is only for runners or cyclists. I just wondered if there’s something more to come? Like Polar’s Fitspark which gives you a customized training guide with HR zones to workout in and this can be anything from running to martial arts or cycling

@ChrisA if you recall the survey, it appears that suunto coach will migrate to the watches as well. Although I think only the new UI watches will get it, again, judging from the mock-ups in the survey.
-
@ChrisA there is already a coach at s5 and s3 fyi on the watch.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos thanks, I used the adaptive training of my S5 and S5Peak quite a while. Looking forward what Suunto Coach will evolve into! I really appreciate the excellent development of the Suunto App! Thanks a lot!

Hopefully tone can be configured as HumanGo coach, so we are encouraged to complete the workouts!

As I lay down with a summer flu these days, my Suunto Coach tells me I‘m doing less workouts than normal… it would be fine to have the possibility to tell the app the reason for the lack of exercises and the reduced fitness! Are there any thoughts about this feature?
-
@SuperFlo75
I have requested this in a survey.
not only flu, but also injury or long stressful days when it’s impossible to do an activity as planned initially…
get well, soon -
@SuperFlo75 On the other hand, does it really matter why you are not exercising? You know and this is information for you. I was “losing fitness” when i was sick and again when it was raining for a week straight and I could not go out biking. I got a note from my wife for the first part and I did not have any excuse for the second .

@MdzOtt
for “loosing fitness” it doesn’t matter… for “recovering” comment after several days of running thru the company, firefighting at all ends, coming home physically and mentally exhausted not being able to do any sports is a bit disappointing and simply not true -
Hello,
First of all, sorry if this has already been mentioned… I used the search tool and tried to look but…
I wanted to talk about a “strange display” on Suunto Coach about HRV (we’re talking about HRV, but more importantly about Suunto Coach’s interpretation of it). I’m 10 days away from an Ultra Trail, in the period of high volume reduction. My HRV has necessarily increased a lot, to the point of flirting with the high limits and even exceeding them. No problem with that, especially as I received my Race during a training block, so the HRV is probably underestimated.
The problem is the “you’re sleeping well but your HRV is abnormal” display, and other similar variants. I think that the algorithm should perhaps present it differently, unless my knowledge of HRV is truncated, I imagine that these high scores in the pre-race period could be presented differently.
But that’s just a trifle, I think the HRV tracking is pretty brilliant, it works very well for me, in every way consistent with my sensations!
