Critical Error! Contact Suunto Support
-
My Suuntolink recently asked to do an update, after which it now brings up the error message “Critical Error! Contact Suunto Support.” I’ve attempted numerous iterations of uninstall/reinstall/rebooting - when starting Suuntolink, sometimes it starts but won’t recognise my watch, other times it just fails again with the same error as above.
The Suuntolink appdata folder is showing a version of 4.1.11 and my machine is running Win10 21H2.
Suggestions anyone? If nothing else is there somewhere I can find older versions of Suuntolink?

@cnorenberg, I get this same error when SuuntoApp is running in multiple Windows profiles. On my Windows PC, I have a personal and a work login and sometimes SuuntoApp is running in both.
The workaround I use is to close the SuuntoApp in one profile and login to the other. If that doesn’t fix the issue, I will close and manually restart SuuntoApp, then re-connect the watch.

@Bradleyd, tx for the suggestion! I do have a work and personal account so tried as you suggested. Still no dice…
In the install log it was getting a permissions error trying to delete the old …/AppsData/Suuntolink folder so I renamed it in the hope that a new install would create a ‘fresh’ copy. Unfortunately still no luck.
