Although the ambit series are old I think it may help someone who still wants to do a great adventure with it.
      Info taken from watchuseek:
      ambit3battery.jpeg

      Regarding ambit 2
      "Ambit 2 battery life:
      Best GPS (~1s), 16 hours
      Good GPS (~5s), 24 hours

Ambit 2 memory capacity when using USB battery (log capacity):
Best GPS, 1s recording, HR: 20 hours
Best GPS, 1s recording, no HR: 27 hours
Best GPS, 10s recording, HR: 50 hours
Best GPS, 10s recording, no HR, 86 hours
Good GPS, 1s recording, HR: 22 hours
Good GPS, 1s recording, no HR: 29 hours
Good GPS, 10s recording, HR: 58 hours
Good GPS, 10s recording, no HR, 111 hours"

      Hope it helps someone

And thanks a lot. I wanted to register a 300km bike with it and was unsure if battery/log capacity would do.
Surprisingly enough in “good” gps setting my 2017 ambit 3 peak sapphire was spot on with that table
