About 3.5 Month... | Suggestion Reminder

…that’s how long My Suunto 9 Peak can cope with my training, before bugging out. I had to factory reset the first time end of November (workouts didn’t save) and right now, saving takes a very long time and it just recorded a 10 m run instead of a 11.15 km run. I will wait for the firmware update in a few days, but I am not very optimistic, that it will work without factory reset.
I’m pretty sure, the watch has problems with overwriting data, when the logbook is full. So I want to remind you of 2 suggestions, I think would help with this problem (more details in my older post).
- let us delete all workouts at once from the logbook
- backup the watch settings in the app, so that it isn’t so tedious to factory reset
Thank you.

@HurricaneWeasel you can vote here for backup settings https://forum.suunto.com/topic/6482/backup-settings-to-account?_=1679125676543

@André-Faria I just took the survey. Thank you for providing the links. I should have searched around a little bit before posting.

@HurricaneWeasel it’s so strange. Yes a firmware update should be coming soon to fix this issue, but my S9P is in use since July 2021, without a single factory reset ever. And no crash either.
-
@isazi maybe it depends on the number and the type of workouts?
-
@dulko79 maybe, I have lots of workouts though, using the watch almost every day for sport.

@HurricaneWeasel last year, with no resets, I did 495 activities, for a total of 473 hours. Few of them with the S7, but 95% with the S9P. So, I believe there is something wrong, otherwise there would be no fix coming, but it cannot only be the number of activities or hours recorded. It must be something more subtle, therefore affecting some users and not others.

@isazi I’m hoping for the update, but getting to delete the logbook and backing up the settings in the app would still be great.

@HurricaneWeasel indeed, it should be possible to backup configurations if wanted. I hope Suunto will implement something like this.
