Battery performance after 2 or 3 years?

The S7 is now about 3 years old. Battery life is good for me but I’ve only had mine since June last year. I wondered how the battery is holding up after 2 or 3 years if anyone on this forum has had one that long?

I bought mine in November 2021. I was getting a solid 24 hours out of it for the first year no problems at all, I usually charged it every evening and it was between 10 and 30% depending on usage. Like all things I had cluttered it up a bit with apps like facer, altimeter and barometer apps etc.
It suffered from the latest WearOS upgrade battery issues and I got into the habit of keeping wifi off, and toggling GPS on/off as I needed it and then it’s average use improved to 60-70% a day.
I then had to reset it due to another software issue, and since then (about 3 weeks) its been brilliant! I haven’t re-installed any of the gimmicky apps I don’t need, but I keep everything on all the time and the daily battery usage is about 60% now and I keep everything on all of the time. I have no problem with daily charge, but it has enough resilience to last a long day if necessary.

Hello. I have mine since January 2021. I didn’t notice degradation of battery. Like James, I had just to deactivate “Use my position from phone and watch”. However I don’t use mode connected to phone. With 2 hours of activity each day, I have to charge it every 3 days.

Thanks for the replies. It’s great that the battery life seems to hold up over time. I bought mine cheap as a stop gap whilst waiting for Wear OS 3 devices to appear but there’s nothing tempting me at all at the moment.
