S9P and HRV
-
As I started to test AI Endurance, I wanted to use HRV. But I found no info on the Suunto webpage about HRV and the s9p, after searching the web I found the rose store page which says that the watch is hrv compatible if you use a HRM like Suunto Smart Sensor. I checked activities where I used the Suunto smart Sensor with my s9, which according to the matching rose store page is also compatible with hrv via hrm, and new activities using a Garmin HRM Pro Plus paired to my s9p, but I can not find a field displaying a value for hrv in Suunto App and neither data in the fit file for this activity.
Am I missing something or is the rose store page wrong ? Would it be possible to add the data if it’s provided by the hrm anyway? -
I think you miss understand something,
Suunto smart belt or any other sensor supports hrv ,
it doesn’t mean the Suuntoapp supports hrv, -
@zhang965 okay but shouldn’t it be present in the fit file even if SA doesn’t use it ?
-
@Andi-Buzer I have HRV data when using the chest strap, not in SA, but in third-party services such as Runalyze.

@zhang965 said in S9P and HRV:
or any other sensor supports hrv ,
Well to be precise not every sensor because we need to rely on RR intervals (e.g. polar verity sense sensor does not work)
-
Okay I just created a runalyze account and will record a run with Suunto smart Sensor and s9p tomorrow. After this I will update the thread if I see hrv in runalyze.

I use Polar H10 HR sensor and my .fit files contains HRV data.
SuuntoApp doesn’t take into account that info but other Apps do, like Runalize. -
HRV on S9 or/and next watch… a dream… maybe one day…who knows?

Okay I just did my test run with the s9p and the Suunto smart Sensor and now HRV appears on runalyze, ai endurance as well as in the fit file .
So it seems that the s9p and the Garmin HRM Pro Plus are incompatible if it comes to hrv. Would be interesting which side the problem is on.
