Suunto 9 Peak Stops Training although locked screen
-
I bought the Suunto 9 peak in December and during some activities it always stoped without a signal or anything and goes back to the normal “watch” mode.
Locking it does not prevent the issue. I don’t get a signal or anything - it just stops the training.
The training (until the point of it’s unpredicted stopping) is however saved and properly s howing in the activity log.
It occurred once during running (maybe my fault, during this training it was not locked) and ALL the other times during Skitouring.I sent it in and the watch got replaced. Now I have the same issue again. First workout with the replacement (Skitouring again) and it stopped mid training without a notice.
I did go for a run yesterday (1.5h) and it did not stop.Contacted the support today and they were surprised, told me to send it in again.
Anybody else here having/had this issue?
Software is 2.23.20.
Bluetooth was on all the time, watch connected to the phone.
Media Controls have been turned on during the training. -

Yup: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/8413/s9p-crashing-randomly

@Dani-van-K that is actually strange, happening so often and on two different watches. Are you using any S+ app, or guide?

Or a custom sportmode ?

@sartoric No custom mode. No S+ app or guide.
Just received the replacement watch, connected via the Suunto App and immediately went for a training.
So super strange. I problably will need to test further but so far it seems only to occurr with the Ski touring exercise. -
@Dani-van-K if this happens again, can you send logs to Suunto via the app (if you search the forum you should find how to do it, there’s a button to press), then record the time you sent logs and send me a PM? I’ll open a new bug with Suunto.

Do you use some bluetooth device (heart rate sensor)?
If the issue happens again, can you check the assisted GPS status? Just to verify if the isuue is a ramdom crash and reboot of the watch
