Notification stacking?
-
I don’t know how else to describe it, but I have two issues I’d love some help with.
1 is there a way to only vibrate or only beep and not both?
2 - this one is a little bigger - so if I get 1 message I get 1 alert on my watch, if I get a second message before I look at my phone or watch I now get 2 alerts, third on 3 alerts, which now means that for 3 messages my watch has alerted me 6 times. It’s almost like it’s alerting me for the amount of unreads I have.I really got this watch so I could use it as a daily wear, and a gps watch. I also only have on 3 things that can alert me, calendar, sms and signal. I couldn’t imagine folx that have more! lol

For your 1st question

@Vinny-Cappadora hm it would be nice if there was a timer for each source that would disallow vibration or sound if ie. there were more notifications than one during ie. 15 seconds.
So ie. if there were 3 messeges from messenger or signal sent in rapid succession, the watch would vibrate only once.
Less battery consumed and less frustration induced

I’m not completely sure but I think your second issue has something to do with the way android handles multiple received messages.
Because if you look at your android notification, it groups the notifications for the messages into one notification which contains all the single messages.
This also results in another bug where you use your watch to answer to a message and it sends this answer to all chats with open notifications not just to the one you wanted to answer.
I don’t now if there is something Suunto could do in the app to avoid stuff like that. -
@Andi-Buzer I think I understand what you’re saying, but that’s not how it works on any other smart watch I’ve owned. Including my other suunto and a garmin, wyze, and pebble - so I really think it’s something with this software specifically.
