Recently bought a 9 Peak while my 7 is away for repair.

I was planning on keeping the replacement 7 for hiking, but using the 9 for training and daily use. Would be useful to be able to switch between the two, but disconnecting the 7 seems to force a factory reset of the watch. I know the app supports switching between multiple watches, but is the 7 included, and is there a way of avoiding the watch reset?

I used an S7 last winter for the same reason (S9B out for repair) and did not notice any warning that says it would factory reset the S7 when switching…

You can keep the S7 connected to your phone via the WearOS app, and can switch between the two watches in the Suunto App just by pressing a button. I use the S7 as daily and commuting watch, and the S9P for training, and have no issues doing this.

@ianharding This only happens if you actually disconnect the 7 via Wear OS app, which is not necessary. As @isazi says below, simply disconnect from Suunto app without touching the bluetooth settings of the phone or the Wear OS app.

Thank you everyone. Really good to know the watches can be easily switched in the app. I hadn’t appreciated that disconnection from Suunto and WearOS apps were different things.
I’ve been blown away by how small and light the 9 Peak feels to wear, but just received notification that my regular 7 is being replaced with a titanium model instead of being repaired. Maybe the reduced weight will sway me back to using the 7 as a daily driver. Will be nice to have the choice!

@ianharding Suunto customer service is awesome. I used to use the 7 for daily use as I like the smartwatch capabilities and it worked for shorter workouts during the week. Now, however, I mostly use the 9Peak Pro. I still find the HR on the 7 as good or better than the 9PP

@Brad_Olwin I also find the S7 HR accuracy ( I have the titanium) really, really good. That was coming from the S9B which has a hard time being accurate. It seems like some users have complained/noted that S9PP HR is not quite as good as other sensors in past?? is this true in your opinion or is it roughly comparable?
