Peak 9 Outdoor Temperature Inaccurate
-
I just received my Peak 9 watch yesterday and while the barometer and altitude and location are accurate the temperature is very inaccurate. I am choosing Fahrenheit and the temperature is showing 20 degrees higher than it is outside. How do I get it to display an accurate temperature? I have already done a soft reset and my watch has the latest software version.

@richardg while wearing the watch the temperature will be affected by your body temperature. (Assuming you were wearing it)

@el2thek So is it picking up my body temperature and not the outdoor temperature? Thought it was supposed to read the outdoors? For example, it 65 degrees Fahrenheit outside but the watch reads 89 degrees Fahrenheit and I’m indoors.

@richardg it is the temperature of the sensor in the watch. Which helps with providing accurate altitude values. Since you wear it, it will be affected by your body and your surroundings.
You can use it to measure the temperature of your surroundings, but you would have to take it off for a bit.
