Suunto 9 Peak Pro?

@isazi
I hate this message
-
@Likarnik ahahahahahah, anch’io!!!
-
@isazi Cannot believe this… Does not the S9P at least get the new fonts?
-
@Efejota no, the new interface is S9PP only. I can say that during activity the new interface fonts and screen combination is more readable, but I am fine with the S9P.
The new interface has been developed for a while, probably one year, and I also thought it would come to all watches, but the rendering would be painfully slow in watches without a GPU.
-
@isazi Oh noooo
-
@isazi This is really disappointing. TBH, I would really like to have better readability. As many others, I guess.
-
@isazi update with running power on wrist on S9P?
-
@Frederick-Rochette no, on wrist power will be S9PP only as far as I know. But S9P will get the Stryd S+ app with all the Stryd metrics, people have been requested that for a while.
-
As for running power, of course there is no standard, but I have been comparing it against Stryd for a few months and it is almost the same values.
-
@Efejota its not like you can add new fonts somewhere and all works well.
-
@isazi I already have a stryd but I prefer to have it on my wrist, easier…
So for the S9P upgrade what are we going to get if there is neither the new UI nor the power on the wrist? -
-
@isazi still no HR broadcasting?
-
@Frederick-Rochette you get sport apps and store with a continius publishing list
We cannot put the new UI nor the Power to older devices due to differences in the platform HW. Thats the only reason.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos the bezel of the slate gray does not look so shiny like S9P granite blue on pictures… only pictures?
-
It looks like a great new watch, great job suunto!
Couple questions I have:
Does the new GPU chip allow to get maps or at least improved navigation in the future?
GPS can connect to all sat systems at the same time, but it doesn’t support dual frequency, right? -
@cosme-costa Strava live segments as we discussed yesterday
-
@DMytro said in Suunto 9 Peak Pro?:

Well, I do not know about maps, but it already supports arrows for navigation.

No dual frequency.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos From Joaquin’s video it appears to be possible to select what widgets you want on the watch in the app (similar to Suunto+).
Will that come to older watches?
