Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
@inkognito S9P is definitely improving, as the S3/S5/S9 are doing. It has already better hardware than the S9, and in fact support things (e.g. off wrist detection) that the S9 does not. But new models will always be better and get something more.
Said that, I am not replacing my S9P for the time being.
-
@inkognito same may be said about s9b titanium that came out shortly before s9p. It’s always the question: either you support every model for, say 2 years, or you support every model as long as possible. But when the hardware makes a leap, this ‘as long as possible’ might feel short.

@isazi SPECIFICATIONS: Touch screen lock: during exercise
Oh dear, shitstorm in 3… 2… 1…
-
@isazi Very nice but I want my update for my S9B
-
@isazi GREAT! Spec are really great… hoping for bigger screen…
-
I had one since Summer, you can ask my anything
-
@isazi what’s new? running time and processor? no new hr sensor? what are the pins on the back?
-
@isazi biggest difference comparing to S9P?
-
@mountainChris many things, GPS, internals (first Suunto watch with a discrete GPU for better graphics), OHR, are some examples.
-
@Likarnik new platform , aka new HW only the shell is the same and screen I think
-
@Likarnik the hardware is updated, it will support the new graphical interface, and supports depth measurements and on wrist running power.
-
@isazi what is the difference in ohr? sensor?
-
@isazi oh wrist running power. interesting
-
@mountainChris yes new sensor. For me the sensor of the S9P works well, but this works even better.
-
@isazi the pins on the back? on YouTube I saw a new charging cable, where you have to exactly position watch
-
Oh and I forgot, battery life is better. Suunto promises 40 hours of GPS with all systems enabled (GPS+Glonass+Galileo+Beidou), but in my tests I get estimates of more than 50 hours, always.

i’m excited for FAMILLE SUUNTO 9!
