Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
@taziden
I have to re-think my google skills… I never find this kind of info -
@freeheeler just subscribe to fcc filing newsletter in fcc.org site you can do it by brand.
So you know in advance if a new polar, suunto garmin is coming. Normally Garmin files FCC months ahead, Suunto and Polar just a few days ahead, in my experience. -
@freeheeler there’s an rss feed on fccid.io for each applicant. Here’s Suunto’s: https://fccid.io/RYP.rss
-
yeah, you just filter by brand and this is your link to Suunto:

@omunoz Suunto 9 Peak is OW194…
-
I’m not really sure where to post this tweet but it could be related to this new model rumor
-
@tuxella are they watching s video of the Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
@suzzlo

“Puce UI 2 fois plus rapide.”
Great!!

Other than an enhanced battery, what else is new here?
-
@TyreseJ4 processor is new and so is UI, 4 sattelite systems at the same time, snorkeling depth sensor. Maybe smth else?
-
@TyreseJ4 Seems that there is a faster new chip (smoother and faster UI). From one of the images (not very clear) seems there is also some screen design updates.
-
@cosme-costa I’m wondering whether the redesigned UI requires the new processor, or it comes to all S9/S5 models without improvement in responsiveness. So far the software was common among the models (except hardware-specific parts), hopefully it stays like that.
-
@halajos I bet older models wont get the new UI. Hardware limitations don’t permit it. But I do hope that future midrange models will have more powerful processor and the new UI.
-
@DMytro If the plan is to keep the older S3/S5/S9 series alive, I think the new graphics will come to them as well. And I don’t think it should be more processor intensive. On the contrary, it might be faster. But I’m just guessing and it’s my secret wish

S3 is not available in the suunto website.
-
@Pavlas I doubt that graphics is necessary to keep watches alive. Just improvements of suunto guides and maybe smth else.
On the other hand, s9p has (probably) a similar processor to s9b and it would be a pity, if s9p doesn’t get the new UI. We’ll see:) -
@Pavlas I agree, I think they postponed the june update so much because it’s a new UI and that comes with a lot of work and testing, more than just for some new feature. I also hope it’s more readable, I’m happy with my S9P and the only issue I have with it is that it’s hard to read the screen on the damn thing.
-
@DMytro I meant that an old watch might look more modern and up to date. But maybe I’m wrong.
