Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
@freeheeler interesting, I am always annoyed that with every update I am back at performance
-
It seems that mine is always back to performance. All other settings are OK, ie. auto laps.
-
Should I see decouple results in SA? I tried it first time today but I can’t see anything in SA.
Edit. I found it. Took a little while to sync it.
-
Is there a reason why the Suunto 9 Peak Pro is recorded as just “Suunto” on Strava? Previous Suunto devices are spelled out entirely on Strava for device used to record activity. Not a huge deal, but it seems incomplete or beta-ish.
-
@TyreseJ4 it was mentioned somewhere already that it takes Strava time to recognize new devices, so it will probably come later.
-
@DMytro It does? Since when? That’s never been the case.
-
@TyreseJ4
I had the impression that the collaboration between Strava and Suunto was a bit closer for some time (compared to now). Since I don’t have insights, it’s just a feeling.Does it matter what watch it shows in your Strava account? Mine shows Suunto 9, which applies for 4 potential different models now… models that are really differing
-
@DMytro said in Suunto 9 Peak Pro?:
@TyreseJ4 it was mentioned somewhere already that it takes Strava time to recognize new devices, so it will probably come later.
Exactly. Strava only shows the correct name after being communicated to do so, to avoid leaking unreleased products.

Anyone in a mood for upgrade, S9PP All Black for 350 € @ Amazon Spain.
-
@dulko79 How is that possible? Refurbished? But out of stock now…:(
-
For those in southern Ontario, Canada, it begins… The States have already started receiving the storm… Stay warm and hopefully some good skiing this weekend.
-
@Umer-Javed Storm Alert for rain and wind in the UK
-
@Ultrawalker è nuovo! Erano pochi pezzi
-
At the beginning of an activity my S9PP does a steady long single-tone sound instead of the typical suunto ‘jingle’ . Does anyone else experience that?
-
@fluca it’s fine, piezzo element, which is responsible for the sound, does ± whatever it wants.
-
@fluca
I randomly notice weird sounds on my S9B, but it’s so rare and I can’t reproduce it, so I don’t worry… -
The other day Instagram advertised this Racetime screen as a Suuntoplus feature of the Peak Pro. It is also on the Suunto website. Where can I find it on the Suunto app?
-
@jasoncuddy should be in the Suuntoplus Store - but maybe marketing was faster than development 🤪

With respect to the finnish engineers, the backlight LCD, the bezel, and the scrolling performance is outdated by two decades, while the watch is overprised.
At least if the display was an oled, the bezel around it wouldn‘t be so perceptible.
Calling such a watch a „PRO“ is simply a joke.
Considering that Suunto is bought by a chinese investor, i have to pass anyway. Shame. -
@adamos540591 Re: ‘if the display was OLED’ - most here are purchasing this for the battery life, and similar to Polar or Garmin Fenix, prefer battery life over bright display. Until OLED can match 25 days on a single charge, I dont see this as a value for a watch most want to last for weeks.
Re: Scrolling performance. Mine scrolls just fine. No issues.
Re: Bezel: same bezel width as similar sized Garmin/Polar/Coros. The design just has not added false non rotating chapter rings or fancy compass markings or painted inlays.
Re: Company owners. Note this model is designed and made in Finland. That said, good luck with your other brands you are considering and where they are manufactured, like COROS or Garmin, which by the way are also great watches regardless of where they are manufactured. Do you think Apple watches are made in California? Here is a hint though before you head over to their forums
- COROS produces its wearables in Dongguan, Guangzhou, China. COROS’s majority investor is China-based YF Tech
Where are Garmin watches manufactured in 2023:
- The USA
- Taiwan
- China
