Anyone used Jabra Elite 7 Pro with S7?
-
I am using the Elite 7 Active ones.
They work super well with the S7 and since a recent firmware update, they can be paired with two devices at the same time. -
@aleksander-h I bought the Jabra Elite 3 and was hoping for dropout free listening since both pods have a receiver and can be used individually. However, I was disappointed to learn that there were constant dropouts. I contacted Jabra support asking if there was a way to get the left pod to serve as the primary pod instead of the right pod, but they had no clue. I then got an idea: What if I take out the left pod from the case, let it connect to the watch and then take out the right pod. Problem solved! When doing this the dropout problem is almost gone. I guess this is the way to force the left pod to connect to the watch and the right pod to connect to the left pod.

@aleksander-h get a pair of shokz - safer and never get any drops out on the Suunto nor on the Garmin. Plus never had any issues in regards to the controls working either.

Clever! I’ll have to remember that trick!

How are they safer? I always run with pass through of surrounding noise so I can hear car and such.

Amazon usually stocks them, and or you can get directly from the Shokz website store https://uk.shokz.com/products/openrun-pro. The often do 10% discounts if you subscribe to their newsletter.The OpenRun Pro is the new aeropex. My aeropex generally only ever have to have about half volume unless running alongside very heavy traffic - then around 75-80% volume (not tickle - only if at 100% for like 20mins). Quoted battery life is at +75% volume - stay below that and they last a lot longer. As a general rule staying mostly in 50-75% volume range I get at least 14hrs, before needing a recharge.
Sound quality isn’t quite as good as Jabra, but then its induction, and the bonus is you can hear everything around you (and if running/cycling in competitions they are generally the only allowed headsets). Plus the sound quality has got loads better and most songs are pretty close to good quality headset, though there are the odd songs that just don’t work i.e. Paint it Black by Rolling Stones for some reason just feels flat, however Seven Nation Army by White Stripes sounds awesome. I think it might struggle a bit with heavy palm muted guitar sometimes.

@aleksander-h
The are induction so they don’t go in your ears they sit just in front of your ears and use induction on your earbones to produce sound. Thus yes can hear everything around you (of course if you turn them up past 75% it does get a little bit more difficult to hear very low sounds).
At between 50-75% volume I can hear runners footfalls and bicycle tires making road noise.And yes while some headsets do have pass through sound, the passthrough isn’t as good as what your ears can naturally hear, which is why the UK Athletics only allows bone conduction headsets in any of their road races.
