Auto-end activity and partial save

I’m a new Suunto user, I got a Suunto 5 exactly one month ago.
Three of my activities were only partly saved (ie ascent/descent data showed 0) when I had only paused my activity and the watch decided to end it a few seconds later. In one instance it even showed the charging cable icon which you see when you turn it on the first time, despite having over 50% of charge. Had I been out of home and willing to continue training, I would have no chance due to this problem.
Is anyone else experiencing the same?
I have immediately updated the firmware before the first use so it’s 2.19.42

you can try to recharge your watch completely and when it’s full, do a restart (12s right upper button). then observe if it happens again and also check the behavior of the battery percentage info occasionally.
maybe it is/was not correctly calibrated.
if it happens again I would recommend getting in touch with Suunto support
