Winter swimming

What do you think about adding a new activity “Winter swimming”?
I have been doing this sport for several years and I miss it in my watch.
If you want know temperature during open weather swimming, you have to use S+ - it is stupide. -
@piotr-grygiel I believe you can create a custom sport mode and add temperature as a data field.
-
@el2thek - may depend on whether you are doing a pool or open water swim, as I know that garmin has stopped it for pool swimming as it was adversely affecting sensors. (haven’t had the E2 in the pool yet to see if the hardware change has resolved the issue): https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2021/10/the-fascinating-reason-why-the-garmin-fr945-fenix-6-no-longer-shows-pool-temperature.html

@jamie-bg Suunto has the option to use temperature as a data field for both pool and open water swimming.
-
@el2thek Temperature as data field in custom sport mode for swimming is not sufficient. I have tested it several times. Without additional S+ weather there are no temperature values shown on watch and on SA. It is annoying if you forget to select S+ before every start, because in the past it worked well.

@wotus right. But this is not “winter swimming” feature missing but rather a bug with temperature measurement in water sports.
I hope it will be fixed soon. -
This is support advice. Especially good in winter
“hmmm może proszę spróbować najpierw pochodzić w wodzie, zanurzyć zegarek, i dopiero wtedy włączyć tryb “pływanie” - może musi “załapać” tak samo jak z GPS na zewnątrz”
“hmmm, maybe please try to go in the water first, immerse the watch, and then turn on the “swimming” mode - maybe it has to “catch” the same as with GPS outside”
