Altitude Navigation
-
Hi, I just bought an s9p.
I have two questions…
I could not find if is possible to use the altitutde Navigation while recording an exercise.
Also I don’t understand how to deactivate/activate the touchscreen.
is the same as long pressing the left lower key?
Thanks

@antonio-petrizzo Touch screen can be disabled in the battery mode “Custom”. Long press while in excercise mode or in the excerice settings before you start an activity.
What exactly do you mean with altitude navigation?
-
@antonio-petrizzo two possible answers to your question. Altitude navigation screen only appears when you have a route loaded during an activity or just purely in navigation mode. It tells you your current altitude where you are on the route profile and remaining descent/ascent. You have to tap screen to toggle between descent and ascent so if touch is turned off you will only see one I think. Other possible answer would be bearing navigation. You can do this in an activity or on its own same as with a route only this time you are entering a heading/bearing and distance/elevation of your destination point. It will tell you how much elevation you need to gain/lose to get to your destination but it will not show you on a profile of the course as it doesn’t know how you’ll get there. hope that helps

@surfboomerang Thanks for touch screen tip.
With altitude navigation I mean the possibility to access to the altitude profile display also in exercise mode. I can see and follow my route, go to a poi…but i’m not able to see the altitude profile display. If it was possible, I’d like to see my position with respect to the altitude profile. -

If you want an altitude graph in an excercise, you can configure it as an additional display in a custom sport mode. -
thanks!
I’ll try it next days. -
@antonio-petrizzo
If you add an altitude graph in your sport mode, without following a route, this graph will show you “only” last five minutes of altitude. -
@mff73 true. This has been reported and acknowledged a bug at Suunto. Let’s see if it gets better some day

@egika
What? Acknowledged as a bug? And something could change? Some Spartan users are living with this 5min graph since… -
@mff73 yes. But bugs are prioritized. I have no idea when and if this one will be dealt with. Just saying that it is on the list.
