Suuntolink

You already know what I’m going to say…
I got all excited when I noticed that Suunto do a desktop app. I’d be able to interrogate my watch on a big screen. Nicer to look at my exercise stats etc…then I find that the latest Suunto watch isn’t compatible with the app! Really?! Why? -
@ramrod there is no desktop version of Suunto app, yet. The Movescount was discontinued, I believe they are work on it, but no promise from my side

You can actually now modify sport modes for the Ambit 3 (and probably other older watches too) in SuuntoLink. It is really nice and actually more convenient than it was in Movescount. Not sure why it can be possible for my Ambit but not for my 5. Either way indeed, the nicest thing would be if we could also do other stuff on the big screen. Especially for planning routes a big screen is nice and a phone is horrible. But I think we’ve been beating that dead horse for a couple of years now and it didn’t really help.

@vinay you’ve got tablet support in suunto app beta now and windows 11 can launch android apps, suunto app included.
-
@dmytro Ah, that’s nice! There isn’t much I like about 11 vs 10 (I actually liked the big windows 8 style start menu and the computer got a bit slower) but if it runs the Suunto App, that’d be pretty amazing!

@ramrod
The purpose of suuntolink is not to be a desktop version of Suunto app, it’s just a bridge between Suunto App and old devices.That said, since the big, web app topic has been already discussed to death, I’m going to close this thread
