Suunto 7 Höhenmesser kalibrieren

@freeheeler Hätte noch eine Frage ich habe eingestellt das gps von der uhr und vom smartphone verwendet wird.Ist das gps tracking dann am besten oder ?

das weiss ich nicht. ich habe eine S9B und wusste nicht, dass man mit der S7 das gps vom handy nutzen kann.
I assume the gps of the watch is good “enough”. actually it is very good.
But maybe our friends with S7 can answer that question more precisely?

@adolf-pechlaner Wo stellst Du das ein, das GPS des Smartphones zu nutzen?
Meine S7 nutzt nur ihr eigenes GPS. Nur die Suunto S3 ist als einzige im Portfolio auf das GPS des Telefons angewiesen.

@egika Hallo unter einstellungen dann konnektivität ganz unten standortdienste von smartphone und smartwatch verwenden,auf zulassen einstellen

Ob die Uhr die Position vom Smartphone oder ihr eigenes GPS nutzt, kann man in WearOS leider nicht beeinflussen. Es gibt nur diesen Schalter, der die Positionsbestimmung der Uhr an oder ausschaltet (und der an sein sollte).
Dann hängt es von der genutzten App ab, woher die Positionsinformation kommt.

Die Suunto WearApp z.B. nutzt ausschließlich das GPS der Uhr.
Es könnte sein, dass z.B. Google Wetter die Position vom verbundenen Telefon holt.

I pickup this thread as it mostly relates to my question…
my wife went skitouring today and either she or the watch clearly did something wrong… but what could it be?
start and summit are around factor 10 too low.
ascent is zero
could it be an SA issue, too? because when she opens the alti graph (in landscape) it is empty

@freeheeler this looks similar to when there is a crash and the activity is not properly saved.

ah, this must be it.
she navigated a track and had 1s gps refresh plus something more activated and said that the watch shut down shortly before the peak, hence she couldn’t track the descent…
crazy short battery life
at least it was saved. we can adjust the rest if needed
