And the media control screen bores me as well, how to turn it off?The media controls are on by default but can be turned off under Settings » Media controls.

Target 50% messes up my intervals, by the time it clears I am half way trough. Ok if interval is 5m not if 1m. Can it snow Just at the top of display and retract? Keep vibration and beep.

I noticed this with the Ghost Runner too. I recently ran a marathon and set the distance to 42.2km, luckily the course was slightly long as I also had a notification come up once I had reached that distance. A bit frustrating going to stop your watch and the notification adding on unwanted seconds
I’d be keen to know if the middle button immediately dismisses the notification? If it does then no big deal I guess, if it doesn’t then I’d probably set the distance a little bit short so I arrive after the notification has been and gone (which would skew the watches time & distance predictions)

@miniforklift yes, middle button dismisses most of those messages. Like target reached.
It does not dismiss the downhill count # in alpine skiing - I think I had reported it before, will find out if it has changed this winter -

@egika
out of curiosity: do you ski without buttons locked? -
@freeheeler Living on the edge!
-
@freeheeler yes. Almost the only time I use the button lock is during kite boarding.
In almost every other sport I have not experienced unwanted button presses -
@egika
wow… the only sport I can do without buttons locked is running when no scrambling is required! …and maybe meditationI’ll try to ski this winter with buttons unlocked, just for the hell of it… let’s see where this anarchy leads to
In watch mode I frequently go to DND, or start screen of recent activities -
@freeheeler I do not lock buttons for any sport, if rock climbing I don’t wear the watch on my wrist and that is the only one where I would have unwanted button presses. This is for the 9Peak, not the baro. When skiing I have to lock the baro because often my wrist will flex enough to press a button.
-
My lock button is when I wear watch on a right wrist.

@lexterm77
I did that when I broke my elbow and had my left arm in a cast for 7 weeks… I still did not got used to it…It’s now >2 years that I own the S9B and I recall that I’ve asked for a lock button in watch mode pretty soon. It’s amazing what has been developed, improved and implemented in that time. Really interesting, useful and demanding stuff (to develop)… but no lock button
…sorry, I unintendedly hijacked this thread!
