Is my S9P deteriorating?
-
Hi, during the past couple of weeks my S9P is missing it’s edge. Battery life is getting worse (-45% in three days with ~3,5 hours of running, no sensors connected, no phone notifications), GPS loss (105 km ride is registered as 91 km ride with a lot of straight lines where I followed trails, the same was happening during the latest runs) and swimming counting lengths incorrectly (2100m is showed as 2700m). Well, it seems something is not correct and I will return it. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

@theo-lakerveld mine is performing as well as usual. For the GPS, are you using Galileo?
-
@theo-lakerveld I do not have a S9P but I do have and S9B and I guess in general they are not very different.
First thing I would do is a soft-reset just in case, press upper button for 12/15 seconds. Then I would check that I do not have any custom battery mode that makes that the GPS is not using GPS best.
If nothing of this works then I would contact support.

@isazi I didn’t change the settings lately and it has been quite flawless since i got it in July. I’m using GPS+QZSS+Galileo.
-
@cosmecosta Yes, I’ve done the soft reset. That didn’t change anything.
-
@theo-lakerveld right there are BIG issues with Galileo in this firmware, should be fixed in the next version, please use something else for now on (I have good results with Beidou in NL).
-
We didn’t change anything that could have affected the battery.
However if you have not done a battery calibration after the update this could well be the reason.
So:
- Run the watch down to 0%
- Charge to full 100%
See if it drains fast

@isazi Thanks, I’m now changing to Beidou and checking if this helps.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Thanks, I’ll drain the battery completely and see if this helps.
