Toggling between Activity and time/date

My touch screen seems to be working on my new Suunto 9 Peak however contrary to the user guide tip of tapping the screen whilst running to see the time of day, this is not happening. Wondering what I am missing if anyone can help.

@runnerchris In the default battery modes the touch screen is not active during an activity. Before launching an activity you need to create a custom battery profile (from the activity options menu, i.e., after you select an exercise profile, one click down - before starting the activity- scroll down until you reach battery mode, select “custom”) and make sure that the custom battery profile has touch screen on during exercise. Doing so should leave the touch screen active during exercise and you should be able to achieve what you describe.
