      Hi dear moderators,
      in recent time I’ve seen quite a few topics getting closed as duplicates almost right away. I feel like your closing those too fast without e.g. ensuring that op has found the answers in other post. Would it be more reasonable to point out that the topic is a duplicate and then wait a few days?

            @dmytro I agree with you, especially in case duplicate was posted by a newbie. Also I’d like if moderators when closing the topic as duplicate point out to the original topic. I admit it may be too much to ask.

              Agreed, I think new users and sometimes existing users to Suunto tech should get as much encouragement from us forum Users and Moderators that we can provide, whether that be hints, tips or pointed into the relevant thread, and not “closed down” some folk can take this as a negative experience.

              Suunto as a brand is up against it with Youtube Reviewers and influencers and sometimes the quick to close down threads can impact on the impression folks have, it may not be Suunto running the forum or anything to do with it, but folks pigeon hole things all together when forming an opinion or impression (just my two cents, and opinion; not aimed at or intended to offend anyone).

                Good point, I agree, specially closing right away with the newbies. Sometimes they don’t use or know how to use the searching menu. Is very good one.

                I prefer to leave it open and close it or let it die after the answer.

                But is not easy a good balance… thank you for the suggestion.

                    @dmytro I have been out of town with no internet. If this happens to you (it could have been me) chat with the moderator and explain your POV and why it differs. I think we are all reasonable and would be happy to reopen a post. In fact, I have closed and then re-opened topics after the OP stated the intent was different than the original post.
