S9P review from a non-target audience

I didn’t make any complaints since this topic, I’d say S9P is nicely done.
-
The GPS quality has been dropped since 2 months,
It comes my concern with s9b as well, the GPS quality drops after a period of use.
-
@zhang965 if this was really the case and is not just perception, then there is absolutely no technical reason for the watch being the reason for this.
GPS quality can depend to the GPS system settings, weather, season, solar activity, and so many other things… -
@egika It depends on what @zhang965 means with “GPS quality drops”.
I agree that there are so many variables, but the watch can be one of them because it receives firmware updates. So if algorithms change during the lifetime of the watch it can be that the watch behaves different (better or worse). This can be interpreted as GPS deterioration.
-
@surfboomerang there has been no GPS firmware update for the S9P since it was released, though.
-
-
@surfboomerang @zhang965 is talking about the S9P here.
-
@isazi You’re right… I need some coffee I guess

I talk about S9B and S9P… both of them had a very brilliant GPS performance, but after some months later…another story.

seriously, Since my weight has boosted, my S9P’s GPS quality is getting worse and worse.

of course not. Because no one has any influence on those things. I am just saying that varying GPS performance has nothing to do with the watch insides as that has not changed for a while.

but how do I know if the watch has no changes insides?

Sw wise no. We would not do any degradation etc.
However, HW wise you never know.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos HW does not change while you own it
-
@egika temperature, pressure, fluids etc can affect sensitive equipment, such as our watches, and may degrade it by constant exposure. I think @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos to that type of changes was referring.

yep, I noted there were some GPS speed drops during my exercise.
and this bug has been fixed after that I lost 3 pounds

Next step, stop alcohol and it will fix GPS issues.

@mff73
ok, seriously, there are borders that shouldn’t be crossed
