The blood oxygen is not is not giving a reading, the icon (red) just spins and no reading appears.

Also to clarify the watch is capturing the fitness data and storing it on watch and Suunto App., However the Suunto App is not sending I fo to Strava or Visa versa…

@ronald-derooi Have you enabled syncing to Strava from within the Suunto App? You must do this. The SpO2 requires that your arm is very still and supported, otherwise it will not work. Also, I assume you are on the latest release?

          @ronald-derooi

If you have connected to partners of Strava the activities will push through, but only new ones.

Fitness data are not supported by Strava. So 24/7 hr etc do not go there.

Swipe to HR then oxygen. Can be slow , remain still during capture . Wristband tightened (you should not see red light )

Did you verify in SA parameters / connected services that Strava is paired ?

i find also quite hard to get a measurement.
And when i got one, i am not sure i can trust it (what should i think when it measure 75%).
is it really expected to become a 24/7 value ? How could it be managed if arm must be so still to measure ?

@mff73 Blood Oxygen is not supposed to be 24/7. It is on demand only.
The 24/7 HR is not so sensitive and working well. No need to sit still.

@chrisc92 followed all instructions with respect to blood oxygen still no reading, and yes Suunto App and Stava App are connected but still no sync from Suunto to Strava…

ok, as someone said, only new activities will be transmitted.
After the activity is synchronised from the watch to SA, it takes only few instants to go to strava

i keep it conditionnal, thus i asked how it could become 24/7 with current difficulties to get a measure.
                      just wondering and asking 🙂

@mff73 yeah, sorry. no native speaker here. Got your comment wrong.
Basically you give the answer yourself:
currently O2 is finicky. That’s why it is only on demand and when sitting still.

Once the measurement can be improved and becomes more robust, it can be made available for continuous measurement.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos solved the blood oxygen issue, have a heart monitor which requires the contacts to be moist, so dampened my wrist u der watch slightly and got a solid reading!!

@ronald-derooi which is strange, as the O2 sensor in the S9P is an optical measurement and not affected by skin conductivity like ECG devices.
But anyway, probably the watch now was in a better position than before.
                              Good it worked for you!

@egika good, simple theory. I’ve had similar issues as @Ronald-DeRooi, and repositioning hasn’t helped. It was working without issue for several days in the mountains, and then on the last day it refused to issue an SpO2 reading, behaviour that continues to today, despite a 12s reset. I logged a ticket (04298114) with support about it.

I did notice an improvement in SpO2 readings after I loosened my watch strap, as per a post somewhere by @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos, but that hasn’t improved/resolved this issue.

Divorcing this from the Peak, both the Apple Watch 6 and Fenix 6x Pro Solar are very, very picky about SpO2 readings: stillness is required, as well as correct planetary alignment. I think SpO2 is just hard, and Suunto have a few more iterations to go to get the the Apple/Garmin level of slightly better.

@ramrod just touch the HR screen and it will page over and start an SpO2 reading.
