Facebook Messenger Notifications Not coming to Watch

I have the app installed on my watch and I reinstalled on my phone, but still not notifications. I would reinstall on watch but there does not seem to be a way to remove.

To remove - should be able to via the play store, and or go into settings, apps & notifications - app list. Press on app and scroll down to uninstall option. If not in app list then try system apps.Note you don’t need facebook messenger app to receive facebook messages on your watch (app is more around sticker use). Go into your phone’s wear os app, notifications and check and make sure that facebook messenger is set to allow notifications.
If this is set and your receive notifications on your phone, they should now be mirrored on your watch (assuming you are connected to your phone).To make sure that your watch doesn’t drop bluetooth connection, make sure that the phones wear os app isn’t being optimized (refer to the sticky threads).
If all of the above is done, and still no joy, then try restarting phone and watch.
If done that and still no joy then you may need to start from scratch and reset your watch.
