NOTES:

• The battery mode bug reported here is not changed
• There are several Suunto + fixes
• Fixes for a crash issue with many waypoints from Komoot
• Fixes some issues with Altitude screen and smaller displays
• Fixes an issue with Vo2Max
• Fixes an issue with corrupted logbook entries
• For using snap to route do not abuse it. No loops (ie track and field) and no reverse routes.

About S5/S3

We found an issue when updating from very old versions and we are making sure there wont be any update failures.
Suunto 5 will be getting the “same” S9 features meaning Ghost Runner, Snap to route, raise to wake etc

updated and found a graphical glitch in the watch face selection on my S9BA:
the little arrows indicating scrolling directions are both there for the bottom most selection. At the top most selection there is only the down arrow.

The Suunto 3 watchface looks really nice! Is there an altitude figure as well?

The additinal new things I observed:

• The sequence in the Settings has slightly changed: “About” is now at the top of “General”, so you can check your Assisted GPS date faster
• Backlight intensity settings changed to only “Low, Medium, High”… I prefer the previous solution “0 - 100 % in 5 % steps”
• You can turn the constant backlight on from the watchface shortcuts, yes!!
• Timezones have been redone. The previous geographical definition based on states/cities has transfered into UTC+x definition.

Edit (additional):

• Raise to wake backlight works only together with Standby backlight on. It doesn’t turn on the full backlight (at least in normal watch mode). Probably by design, right?

If suunto 5 will get snap to route available even for hiking, it will probably solve all my issues with bad accuracy in difficult terrain surrounded with hills, rocks, trees. I am very excited to try this feature.

I find it pretty amazing that S5/S3 are getting features from S9. Kudos for Suunto.
