@freeheeler I joined Dimi’s nagging
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos
very nice to hear that!!!
also @G287-SF would appreciate it a lot. -
can we post links to online shops?
-
@egika Preferably no, if they went silly and posted the pic / specs.
-
@egika but you can pm me so we can try to take them down
-
-
@freeheeler unfortunatly for me it’s to late. I’m selling it and the coros arrive today.
-
@g287-sf no worries man!
-
@g287-sf

@freeheeler imagine a world with lock button…
-
@bulkan
yeah, no more living on the edge -
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos I think this is a really unique situation.
All the people here are anxious to see the new model and read all about it, but on the other hand everyone is willing to report leaks so the can be taken down. -
@surfboomerang
Schrödinger would be amazed!! -
@bulkan Lock button would be “silence of mind”
-
@freeheeler You just gave Suunto an idea for a new model.
Suunto 9 Edge!
It has no lock button and has touch screen enabled. Both in watch mode and activity mode -
@surfboomerang
having touch enabled and unlocked during an activity even makes sense for certain activities. because what does touch do to the activity itself? nothing.
When I did the WFL, I used my S9 Edge edition to flip back and forth between the navigation and the WFL screen. It was pretty convenient to swipe just left or right. (maybe there’ll be a Tinder edition, too?)
Otherwize I would have to flip thru all screens with the middle button.
My opinion is that it would be great to have touch toggled on/off depending on the activity. For water sports it’s a must to disable it! -
@freeheeler True, I use touch for hiking. Especially because some functions are not available with the buttons (back and forward scrolling and route overview).
For windsurfing it is definitely a no-go. -
@surfboomerang
but watch out, when it gets steeper and you need to start crawling and use your hands it’s living on the edge^2 -
@freeheeler The only time people start crawling and use their hands during a hike in The Netherlands is when they drank too much in a bar and try to walk home. No hills here…
