Suunto 9 Peak

 So silence of mind is a way of selling a watch with no features

 @egika said in Suunto 9 Peak: So silence of mind is a way of selling a watch with no features Or: it is something like SAAB’s night panel, which switched off almost all displays in a cars instrument and only lit up what is necessary in a certain situation

 @egika
 then it would be the focus feature
-
 @egika or a watch that bothers you less

 @egika said in Suunto 9 Peak: So silence of mind is a way of selling a watch with no features Maybe a slap band?
-
 @egika or a watch with no screen or any output to the user. Not even the time
-
 @egika Still miss this feature. I loved my Saab

 @dimitrios-kanellopoulos Just selling an empty box? No worries about battery lifetime
-
 @dimitrios-kanellopoulos oh, thats like nophone! They were selling a phone shaped slab of plastic to help people with phone addiction. You feel the weight of a phone in your pocket, but can use no feature.

 @olymay
 Suunto Latvia might have the 25th already?
 …it would be really interesting to test and feel how these buttons work with gloves!

 Good morning ️ ️ Thank you very much @sky-runner and @olymay
-
 Crap! I keep missing the revealing posts.
-
 @freeheeler well, I’m sure you can think of a person that uses gloves for skiing and is very active here, and that may be comment on that in the future
-
 @wakarimasen there was a youtube video this morning, you could clearly see the watch, I will only say that i really like the quality of screen
-
 I’m just curious about whether or not the existing 9 Baro will become a legacy model. Thinner and smaller doesn’t do much for me, and I’m happy enough with the screen on my Spartan. A longer battery life would be welcome (which the 9 brings) and from what I’ve read, the existing Valencell sensor has enough tricks up its sleeve to be unlocked via firmware. Tempted to just buy the S9 Baro anyway…
-
 @wakarimasen what tricks does the Vallencel have?
-
 @dimitrios-kanellopoulos Only what I read on the DC Rainmaker review:
 ‘This unit contains Valencell’s latest sensor, version 1.2 That means that Suunto actually has a bunch more that they can do in terms of biometrics down the road if they wanted to via firmware updates. Again, it’s in there – but that does require software be written around it and then software on apps and websites to support it as well.’
-
 @wakarimasen but what more todo?
