Suunto 9 Peak
-
I wonder if we can get a hardcore-fans-reduction to buy the new suunto9Peak?
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos will Peak bring new hw changes?
-
@cosmecosta the height is actually much lower than in the previous model so it should be fine. The bezels actually looks terrible, it does not suit this new design at all, IMHO. In fact, these potential dimensions make it more suitable for the new S5 model. Anyway things are getting interesting
-
@aroo7
design is always in the eye of the beholder… while I do not like too simple designs so much, I totally envy the Creo team in Vantaa -
@pintolcv1 well, maybe more info will come on the 25th.
-
My configuration is in a holding pattern…
-
@wakarimasen Nice one! In my opinion the standard bezel of the S9B (whatever the color) is one of the nicest ever made.
-
It looks small and compact. For my taste design is beautiful, clean and elegant as a sport and everyday watch. I hope screen will be bright and vivid. I wonder if features from existing S line (sleep tracking/score, stress/recovery, Vo2max) will be shared with Peak.
-
@freeheeler of course, that’s why I wrote IMHO and I don’t like just one thing, I haven’t written about the whole thing
-
@freeheeler @cosmecosta same feeling here… huge bezel was one of the reason to sell my Polar Vantage V, let’s see the exact dimensions…
-
BTW, any insights in “How do you measure silence of mind?”
BR
-
@suzzlo many
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos ahhhh, ok, I will wait

the perfect number of watches is n+1.
this applies also to bikes and skis
4 pairs of skis; 4 pairs of boots, 3 bikes and more than for watches

Maybe metrics to make you aware of how much you watched your screen of the watch during the activity as a reminder to enjoy the environment you’re in instead of looking at your watch every x seconds?
For me “silence of the mind” is rather simple. No social media accounts, no notification/reaction pressure and a DND button once in a while. Works great for me
-
@surfboomerang except if you are already busy in your mind (ie solving an issue ). But yeah that’s it.
When you don’t have 20 beeps while running
-
So silence of mind is a way of selling a watch with no features

Or: it is something like SAAB’s night panel, which switched off almost all displays in a cars instrument and only lit up what is necessary in a certain situation

@egika
then it would be the focus feature
