      Hi!
I would suggest adding a safety feature. Upon pressing the lower button for several seconds or a combination of buttons maybe, the watch will send a signal to sa, which then will send a notification with gps position, phone and watch battery status and a short preprogrammed message to all prior specified contacts. I think this will be valuable upon many occasions: sudden health issues, an accident during activity or a stranger following in a dark alley.
Garmin has this too and I would love to have it on my s9, or at least on newer models maybe.

@дима-мельниченко Good and simple idea can save your life in mountain but also in the sea…I think for example also in the sailing activity…

Even if I always hope in the next firmware upgrade with sailing S+ button.

@matteo_000 you mean like sailing? I don’t know, how often one takes a phone for surfing or diving though.

Only exception is long tours or risky crossings over long distances.

@freeheeler I wear my watch on the right hand, so the buttons aren’t facint the wrist, ever tried that? Or wearing the watch on the inner side of your forearm.

both options: no… I’m conservative in that regard 😉 I only exceptional changed the arm when I broke the left one…

@freeheeler I got injured while doing a sick dyno move (like jumping from one hold to another) in bouldering. That was worth it XD
Now I have a swelling that gets bigger every time I stress my forearm muscles, otherwise I also would use my left for the watch.

                                  but we’re drifting off 😉
I have the persistent opinion that manufacturing companies should solve issues instead of leaving it up to users to find all kinds of workarounds
A proud engineer solves issues… but I start repeating myself again and I promised myself that I will reduce that 🙂

back to original topic: yes, an emergency button would be nice! In case the phone is not nearby or has no network… well if you already have a bad day, it might not get better that way 😉

@freeheeler I mostly considered a semi hard fall in the mountains. Best case scenario - phone is in a pocket, so you have to reach in the pocket, unlock, trigger an imergency alarm if there is an app install. In case arm is injured - not that easy to do. Thid however is just one move action with a watch, which I imagine could be also done while fading out.

Wanted to revitalise this thread. I think this functionality is not some gimmick or a novelty, it’s a must in a watch, since on can trigger it less noticeable than on a phone.

Please consider it, if not for older watches, then at least for the PP lineup.
