Some watchface references for those who like custom faces

Also owning a Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 the watchface community is huge there. Here are a few I use which have alot of customization and battery friendly
Watchmaker - Digiline X series by JohnnyD (loaded with dimmers and tilt to wake screen options to highlight specific parts of the watchface or conserve battery. One of the best devs out there.
Facer - Faster 201 has lots of customization, a lock button, lots of color options and my personal favorite AOD which is also battery friendly
Facer - RZ213 has a retro vibe with cool lcd colors, a nice dim AOD for night time and a cool shortcuts launcher to see fitness and weather data. Lots of other great designs also.

I prefer to use watches faces that are on the playstore, as developed with the adb kit and tend to be more battery efficient than running through another app.
Som of my favourites (and the reason why):
Marine Commander - the customization is better than any other watch face, including dual complications with surrounding detail that I have never seen on any other watch face. Loads of ambient options.
Coronosuf - amazing what can be included on a watch face - looks awesome, but can be confusing.
Ticwatch faces (search mobvoi and or ticwatch on playstore) - loads of great looking dress watch type faces.
Marine Digital - for that classic old school look - plus ambient looks great too.
Weareal - for those classic dress watch faces to animated cog faces.Plus has dynamic effects - pretty good at replicating how the glass of a real watch faces reflects/moves as your wrist does.
Classical 1 - love how the date complication moves around as the hands change, making sure that in ambient and in full mode that it is always visible and never hidden by the hands.
3100 Crucial - nice basic watch face.Then of course there are the Suunto watch faces - heat map and marine.
a good way to find watch faces on the play store is to use your phone/computer browser play store and type in 3100 wear os.

What a beautiful watchface! Never been a fan of analog faces, but I had to install this

@isazi I like Nomad watchface

@isazi and the amount of customization is freaky. Two people could be using this watch face and you wouldn’t even know its the same watch face due to the customization level.
Also love the dual complications and the ability to have data like battery levels for watch and phone around the complication.
You can literally set up this watch face to cover virtually all your needs without having to go anywhere else as can also set the complications to launch apps. -

How about battery performance in comparison with the Suunto developed ones? Thanks!

Will use battery faster than Suunto watch faces. Nomad is better in my hands than Marine Commander, probably because of the complications I have.

If you like Marine Commander Ksana Sweep is another hybrid which is loaded with the same type of stuff and been around since Wear OS first started. I’m a digital guy personally. I really wish Heatmaps didn’t have a leading zero in 12 hour. Made a post request about it. Maybe I will get lucky and Suunto will look into it.

@jeremiah-dudek do you have a link for it, or is it a watchmaker/facer watch face? Checked the store but couldn’t find it.

@brad_olwin @flypg
Comparing to using a suunto face not using the power tilt saving option, barely any difference. It is pretty economical - I get around 2% to 2.2% battery consumption per hour. However using a suunto face with power saving tilt I can get around 1.8% - 2% battery consumption per hour. So at a max you may get an additional 10hrs of battery life - but still going to be 2days vs easy 2days.I use touch to wake, AOD on, and tilt to wake is off. My ambient mode is also set to simple with auto brightnes.
With Marine Commander setting a more complex ambient mode will consume more battery, however I could probably save more battery by reducing ambient brightness, though I find auto does a good job making ambient screen readable in virtually every light source.

@jamie-bg @Brad_Olwin Thanks a lot!

@jeremiah-dudek - nice - it reminds me a lot of marine commander, but has some nice touches, like pulling up a monthly calendar view and bits like that.

@jamie-bg You are welcome. Glad you like it.
