Touchscreen of Spartan Sport

Couldnt find anythimg about it, so here is my noob question:
I have a Spartan Sport hr since yesterday and didnt know if it is normal that after a short period of time, i couldnt get the light of the watch started with just a touch on the screen. I therefore need to press a button. Even if i havent activated the standby button.

@gsciuk this is normal behavior, watch goes to standby mode and touchscreen is getting disabled, all this for battery saving, any button wakes up the watch.

Also for not waking up the watch by accident. Eg rain etc etc
