Ambit, Suunto App and PTE

Currently I set my HR zones in movescount and sync my moves with the Suunto App. A well known problem is, that you get wrong HR zones in the app. Now what I want to know is with what HR zones will PTE be calculated. With the correct zones from movescount or with the wrong zones from Suunto App?

@marcrie if PTE is computed by the watch, then the zones in the watch, if it is computed by the app, then the app. Can you see the value in the watch?

@isazi thanks for reply. I set the zones in movescount and I think that that should be the values in the watch, but I am not sure (therefore my question above). But I don’t see the zones in the watch.

@marcrie , PTE is calculated by the watch, but HR zones you set up in Movescount are not used for that. Ambit only knows about your Max and Rest HR, perhaps activity class too.
Movescount HR Zones are (I mean, were …) applied to activities once those are (sigh…) loaded into Movescount.

@margusl good to know. I always thought PTE is a function of time in HR zones and activity class.
