Heart rate monitor

good evening, I note with regret that the heart rate monitor very often does not work or does not detect the heart rate, I have tried to use other apps with negative results … what can I do before returning the product?

@andrea-antonio-guadalupi When I first got my Suunto 7 I didn’t realize there was a plastic bit covering the sensor to protect it. Is yours still on?
Do you have a tattoo? Hairy arm (such as myself)?

@aleksander-h I have no tattoos and I have little hair on my arms, I tried to clean the sensor, when it can read it it rarely takes a long time to detect the frequency
