I was wondering if the S7 piggy backs on the phone GPS to save battery when within range? Or will the S7 always use its own GPS for tracking? Depends on the app being used perhaps?

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos google fit does rely on watch GPS when available.
was initially suprised when Brad says the suunto app on the watch doesn’t, but thinking about it, it makes perfect sense. Also now understand why the tracks are usually so good - no wifi making silly off course points which aren’t smoothed out.
