I have my watch display ascent and current elevation when I hike. The altitude display changes by each foot of elevation change but the ascent changes in steps of 23 feet of elevation change. Is there a reason for this? I would like ascent to change in smaller increments.

@pikeviewer The Suunto 5 does not have a barometric altimeter and can only measure ascent via GPS. The ascent data increment cannot be changed and will not be as accurate as a barometric altimeter. Third party sites can perform altitude correction on the data from the Suunto 5.
