@Brad_Olwin you can’t enter a POI, you just record one. Useful to back track. Useless to go to a new place ‘in the field’. I can enter lat/long on my Ambit, or a Traverse. You can’t do that on a Spartan (which is why I dumped it) and you can’t do that on the S-series. Maybe an S7 cuz it’s Android, dunno, but definitely not on the S9.
Since movescount was not closed and movescount is still available can’t s9 still be used/connect with it ?
And if it can, can’t it have pois management there?Yes you can. Go to seting on the watch, connectivity and ‘forget’ connection to mobile app.Connect watch to cable and sync with movescount will started

Okay, so exactly the same path we’ve trodden before in previous threads, and your simplistic response doesn’t help - (…)
What’s missing here, and what we keep banging our bloody drums about
See?Another useful thing to have in the Spartan would be the possibility to enter coordinates manually on the fly via the watch, but that ship has clearly long passed given the Spartan has long since ceased to see development.
Ok, I asume your tone is not what I’m reading. When another moderator is trying to help and got answers like this, without any thanks, empaphy and even disrespect in the answer like you are the only clever in the room is so frustrating. You are talking with a people about a watch. Someone is trying to help.
I won’t argue with these comments but I would delete every single post or word disrespectful.
We are here to help, even communicate with suunto and with the all the feedback have better watches and community, but for sure, we don’t deserve these kind of answers.
Think about it, if these is what deserves someone who is trying to help or not.
Sorry for the tone, but I think is enough at this point.

Where we’re at though is a bunch of us were/are about to have our watches rendered useless for our needs by the company choosing to switch the services off - and very little of what we say is anything personal but instead sheer exasperation at Suunto. However, when people re-iterate the same point on ‘oh we’re lucky Suunto listen to our feedback’; or ‘of course you can still do POI’s’ when we’ve given very clear reasons as to why we can’t, can you see why we’re getting frustrated? Dogmatic assertions that something is amazing, even after we’ve explained very clearly why it isn’t for us, are very frustrating to read. Brad is very aware that our issue with POIs isn’t the ability to create them on the watch, although I do wish the Spartan had the same functionality as the A3P for creating them manually, but instead the inability to create them in advance of a trip. So to then come and say that POIs are still available is disingenuous as it implies the functionality hasn’t changed, when it very much has, or will potentially do.
Maybe it’s the combination of geographic locations that causes the distinct divides here, or differing use of language, but having someone basically ignore our clearly stated reasons for something being an issue is frustrating.

Many times I have to remind my self about this and break out my tunnel vision.
Thanks @Bulkan

@Ennoch as I said, I won’t argue with the reasons of Movescount, POI, structured intervals or whatever the frustration of we could ever have with a watch.
Movescount is until 2021.
There is not POI as you want in Spartan or S line at this moment.
We are here to help, even in all those situations where we get our ass kicked or some tones that I really think are unfair.
We don’t decide. We elevate feedback and some achievements, really importants, came from this forum.
So, I think this post is not going anywhere until 2021 so I’m closing it.
If you want POI there is a post about it. I already vote and asked for it.
