Auto pause feature on the S7 vs a different algorithm for the average speed in the Suunto app on the phone
-
During recording an activity there are some reasons to pause the activity. Taking a photo, meeting a friend or technical problems with the bike or kayak.
Suunto 7 has no option “auto pause”, the activity must be stopped manually and restarted again manually. Sometimes I just forget it to stop or restart.
Suunto app on the phone doesn’t calculate the average speed of the moved time like Strava does, but uses the complete time of the activity. A break of an hour in the beer garden is calculated in the average speed.
Please change one of the described things.
An auto pause feature in the options of the Suunto 7 or the calculation of the average speed (moved time) in the Suunto app on the phone.

@pilleus It is a pity that until now it does not have this function. It’s a great smartwatch but it’s amazing that it doesn’t have it, when even more basic models do

It’s because of the Covid thing. So you don’t stop and keep moving!
