Implement sync via usb in Suunto App
-
Suunto App sucks. Bluetooth is a pain on the ass if you don’t have a Samsung or Iphone mobile device. If you really want to go mobile only, you should provide a workaround for bluetooth syncronization, by just allowing to plug the watch to a phone using the cable (that users need to charge and update firmware) and an usb -> microUsb/USB-C adapter. Why should I be forced to buy some specific phone when I already got a good one just because a stupid decision?
If you really want to go mobile only, take some time to update the compatibility list phone and include other brands on your tests ( xiaomi, motorola, pocophone, CAT, etc) and if you will play lazy, provide a wired solution.

@Mff73 well, I do have a S9B and I do not have had issues with Huawei, Bq or Motorola, a friend of mine using a Xiaomi doesn’t have problems either. If fact if you have and A3 and an Iphone you have more chances to get issues than using and android phone where you have been the first one posting issues.
What sucked a lot regarding BT connections was the former MC android app, that was a pain in the ass if we talk about connectivity issues.
On the other hand I agree with you that would be nice that SA app and Suuntolink were able to upload activities too, to have a backup system in case BT doesn’t work properly.
