Unable to Sync Ambit3 with iPhone SE2020
-
Have conctacted support numerous times but not luck so posting here for visibility.
I’ve have an A3 Peak for over 4yrs. I was syncing this with Movescount app on my old Android phone (OnePlus3) with almost 2000 moves logged - for the most part it was pretty uneventful apart from a handful of moves that were “lost” for no apparent reason.
I changed my phone to a new iPhone SE2020 back in May and had to bite the bullet “upgrade” to the Suunto app. I’ve not been able to Sync any moves since.
The app recognises the activities on my watch (“Syncing 1 of 1 activities”) and goes through the motions but always fails, showing me “Last Sync Failed”.
Interestingly, earlier this week, I was able to get a move synced via the app. I had logged 2 rides and the app was able to sync the first. The second did not sync and follows the above pattern.
I am currently having to sync all my moves via my laptop and cable with the Suunto link app.
UPDATE: I received a response from Suunto support today stating “…There is indeed a known issue with the iOS 13 bluetooth itself that causes the suunto app to fail with pairing and syncing. We are working with app for the incident but at the moment we do not have a timeline to share for the resolution…”.

You’re right, but just to let you know there are plenty of posts about this issue in this forum already. Try the search function for yourself

Yeah, thought I’d add to the noise on the slim chance that it does any good.
