Suunto app refresh
-
Several months ago there was a detailed survey in SA showing various options for new daily views and data being served up in the Suunto App. The survey had some very promising tidbits and visuals in it however since then the only data visualization change we have seen has been the calendar view, which although nice was basically replicated by Strava’s Subscriber data view update (the new training log and in app monthly views) this spring as well which is unfortunate. As others have asked many times in the forum regarding viewing resting HR, daily HR, and other metrics over time in graphs and more useful trended charts (than simply giving the values), is there a timeline or goal for getting the ‘today’ view of the Suunto app updated to be more detailed and helpful? Understanding Covid happened between that survey and now and the release of a new product happened in that period as well so support for that has to be highly prioritized…it just seems that any updates or improvements to this area would be a big support to the broader Suunto user base since SA is the preferred uploading service now by Suunto and the feedback has been so clear online between various reviews and discussions that the platform could use some more work to help Suunto keep up with competition. Just wondering and hoping to see something soon as the technology in this industry moves fast! It would help me get more out of my device and keep it valuable/useful for longer.

The refresh is already (partially?) available in Beta, for both Android and iOS.
-
@isazi how do you get the beta version? I found the daily HR graph following instructions for the hidden menu but is there more than this?
-
@northeast_trekker on Android just open the app page on the Play store, and join the beta. There is something similar for iOS.

@isazi thanks for the tip, this is much better and immediately found a bug and reported it so it will be nice to poke through it.

actually it wasn’t a bug it was a misunderstanding of how it was setup.
