Bug? - at least annoyance in S7 FW
-
Here’s one, I’ve been annoyed of since the last firmware and I see it has not changed. So maybe someone would like to report it to Suunto:
When starting the Suunto Wear App on the watch, it starts looking for a GPS fix and for my wrist HR.
Once found, the icons become solid and I’m ready to go.
Instead of starting the activity, I sometimes feel the need to change the display to always on (or maybe change sound/vibration settings), and swipe up, change the display in training settings.Problem: when done with this, the watch starts all over trying to lock on my heart rate (icon is not solid) and I can’t take off immediately.
Cheers

@Egika I noticed this also on the previous and present firmware. I would start the Suunto app, waited for the position and HR to lock, then realized that I would like to use e.g. running instead of trailrunning. Clicked into the menu and switched to running, came back to the main screen and the position and HR would start a new process to lock. Very annoying.

This is the same for S9, and I guess many other Suunto watches.

@isazi alittle correction. This is not the case for s9 etc.
It might look like they are going to flash again but the status has been defined.
In technical terms you fire up the components and subscribe to them each time in the view. The state doesn’t chnage only it will flash from previous view state to the freshly subscribed state.
About the s7 I don’t know and I reported an issue.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos oh, it’s just the interface that behaves like that then? In fact the blinking on the S9 is short after going in the settings.

@isazi yup exactly. It won’t go through a cycle of all this. It will blink very shortly.
