Routes not showing elevation data
-
For some reason, I cannot get elevation profile when importing GPX routes into Movescount that, on the contrary, is shown in the Suunto App. Despite the transition mess, I am still hesitant in replacing my magnific, robust and loved Ambit 3 Peak with a Fenix. But this is very annoying. The same absence of elevation data happens if I try to draw the route in Movescount. Considering that I cannot sync routes with Suunto app, this is like not having elevation at all in my routes.
Any solution?

Old bug, present for few months now and those guys from Suunto still did not solve this or give any formal explanation. Yes, the solution is to go on other platform…

I think the successor of A3PS is called S9B, not Fenix

Easy, man.

All comments are ok, but expressed in the polite wayI am very sorry and I apologize. But i am really desperated. Options are reduced and a lot things are disabled or simply not working any more. Do you really think that we do not deserve a simple explanation? I accepted that there will be no web. OK…but to crippled route creation in this way without a warning. Just that. I buy flagship from suunto every 2 years and this is the best hardware in the world. . But this behavior from SW managers and developers is just 2much. I am very sorry, again.

@TELE-HO Too big for my small wrist, I am afraid.
On the other hand, I am very sorry to say that my trust in Suunto fell dramatically with this Digital Transition. Theses watches are expensive enough to consider how will they perform in 5 years. To my knowledge, I have received no appropriate technical explanation for the A3P to be left out of full sync capabilities in the app. The persistent ad to buy newer models drives me crazy…
And yes, the watch is amazing. I am sure that S9B is also. I do not fancy pay or music, but Suunto, as a company, deceived me a lot. -
@zvonejan present intermittently on GPX import, I must say. Sometimes work, sometimes not. With routes from the same platform showing elevation data in other platforms…

Try to create a new route in heatmaps. Altitude is not shown. You can try milion times
-
@zvonejan I know. That is why I tried drawing it elsewhere and importing. Unsuccesfully many times in Movescount, not in Suunto App.
-
I tried strava heatmaps on PC. Ultragood but it is not free. There are also garmin popularity heat maps and I use this option at the moment. Guys at Suunto do not think it is worth imforming us about that. I understand bug, but to hide and pretend that nothing is happening, I do not understand that. I have to be quiet and not express an opinion on what i think of these people. :). We all have to respect their work. I am very sorry to lose my temper occasionally. I guess it is time to change brand after 9,5 years. Good day to all

This is disrespectful to us, their customers. I can swallow Corona trouble, understaffed IT, new owner and their new strategic direction. But I just cannot understand why this ghosting of users of A3P, still current, not discontinued, one of their best sellers of all time. Do they really think we will buy another suunto after this “transition” fiasco? How is this not bothering them? Hello? Suunto mgmt?
I really love suunto products, other Amer sports brands too, but this is getting ridiculous. -
I feel the same way, let me explain why.
I bought A3PS customized, two S3 for a gift for my wife and brother one Spartan Trainer for my sister in law, Spartan WHR Baro(returned it after it failed got Full refund after a year of use) Spartan Ultra which i gifted to my friend after getting wrist version, I have an old A3P that made buy a customized version of it because it was such a perfect watch I wanted everyday and special occasion. I purchased all possible wrist bands for S9B, S9B for myself, about 7 heart belts for all the people I gifted, Traverse Alpha also, Amber brands I have spent about 10 grand on Arcteryx, thats pretty much buying everything that fits sometimes in all colors available. These purchases were all in last 3 years, I started buying Suunto after wearing leather X Lander watch over a decade ago that was a gift to me. I have never purchased Garmin watch any other sports watch brand other than Suunto. (Only mechanical watches that are not competition like rolex sub, breitling b1, omega planet ocean one for land air and sea)
Put yourself in my position as a person who spends this much money on a company. I don’t want discounts, free sensors, all I want is fully functional customized orange A3P 2017 watch that I wear on very specific occasions to have power functionality. That disappeared after i switched to SA and I want my route profile back.
Is that too much to ask?
It is not rocket science. When my customer ask for a specific metric on a 2 million dollar machine that i retrofitted them, for example a gear mesh vibration sensor and energy expenditure of a servo during specific operation I give them that same day before sun hits the horizon.
