[Ambit3 Peak] No notifications menu
-
Hello guys,
yesterday I got my Ambit3 Peak (FW 2.4.17) and connected the Android App. Everything is working… BUT
- There is no menu for reviewing my notifications like the description in the manual of the watch
- I’m working as an IT expert and when I’m typing on my keyboard the step counter increases
Does anyone has also such problems?
Thank you and best regards, Michael

@MikeW83 , notifications are hidden under
Options -> ConnectivityAnd yes, step counter does that, though much less compared to FW releases that a added steps in a first place (just to hint you how it used to feel).

@margusl thank you for the hint. Is There also a delete function or when does the message symbol disappear?
Thank you!

It’s there until you clear that notification from your phone, no way to delete it from watch itself.
-
@margusl Oh, I understand… my app shows up as synchronized, all notifications cleared on my phone and on my watch are 3 messages…
-
Try turning notifications OFF and ON again through Options > Connectivity > Settings > Notifications
It seems that sometimes notifs are not coming through after this, but re-pairing the watch and the app should fix this. -

The Problem still exist. At the end of the day I have 2000+ steps more on my counter. It’s only when I wear my watch when I’m working on my computer. When I compare it with the Garmin watch from my wife the counter is not this sensitive.
I have to put my watch away when I’m at work. Otherwise I don’t have any realistic data. -
@MikeW83 , well, it is what it is. That watch wasn’t designed to function as a activity tracker and step counter was more like a retrofitted “feature” that was added 2+ years after A3 initial release by almost final FW update (almost - they had to release one more after another 6 months as an attempt to make it a little bit less random).

… and as said several times
" It is important to remember that the step count is an indicator of your overall activity. Any movement contributes to your activity."
