Suunto 7 & Stryd: Merge data
-
Hi
Stryd is not officially supported with our watches. I found a workaround to at least has a .tcx file with all the information coming from the s7 and stryd.
I was in talk with the developer of this tool https://gotoes.org/strava/Combine_GPX_TCX_FIT_Files.php and found a way to merge the data in good condition to import in TrainingPeaks.
This is the source info coming from s7
And this is the info coming from stryd
Upload the 2 files and select your timezone
The tool detect the start and end time
As you can see times differs because stryd think I started earlier and finished later. Here is the trick. Click to edit times and change start/end and select the data from every fit as follow
Select the options as follow
And click blue button. Now we got a tcx file to upload to TrainingPeaks (or others I supposed)
At the moment the tool doesn’t get the vertical oscilation and leg stiffness from stryd but I’m sure he is considering it.
Take a look and if you like donate a little amount to the developer. He is very nice and give a great support

FYI. This is why we select this start/end time and fields from each fit
From the developer:
“1) Take elevation from the Strydr file because it records more often than your other device.
2) Trim the start and stop points to match the “shortest” possible activity where both tracks overlap. This means there won’t be any zeros at the start/end where there isn’t an overlap.” -
Wow!
Good info man! Thank you very much.
So now we can run with the s7 and stryd and have all the data. This is getting better.

I’m trying some options. If I select “keep points only with position” I get a smooth rhythm graphic
