Distance in Google Fit inaccurate

Hello,
I have google fit on both the Suunto and iphone. While the steps seem to be accurate, the distance is always way off. Eg I’ve done 15000 steps today, including a 10km run this morning. Yet the distance overall is just over 3 miles. Hopefully this won’t matter when Suunto allows steps to be imported into its own app. Is anyone else having this problem?

@ldxmsg Google Fit does not show the distance until you import it via Strava or SyncMyTracks. The import from Suunto wear app does not sync the complete data.

@pilleus For actual runs etc yes. But for general day to day walking google fit counts steps and measures distance and the latter is completely wrong. My height and weight are correct.

11.700 steps countet in Fit app on the S7 = 10.350 meters in Fit app on the S7

Just an example of today, it’s okay for me. Activity tracking and counting on the smartphone in Google Fit is disabled.

@pilleus Thanks. Weird. It’s obviously a software issue in google fit on the watch. Hopefully an update will fix it.
